Black trumpet

Craterellus cornucopioides, or black trumpet mushroom, is funnel-shaped, deep like a crater, with a wavy edge, a diameter ranging from 4-8 cm, and a height of 4-10 cm. Its inner surface is grooved and black or dark gray in color.
The skin, its outer surface, is gray, dull, smooth or less smooth, without pseudolamina, but it can also be somewhat wrinkled. The stem is hollow, gray, and tapers slightly toward the base. Its flesh is very thin, fragile, with an aromatic smell and mild taste.
