Volitis

Boletus edulis or Porcini is a delicious edible mushroom that grows in deciduous and coniferous forests and tree plantations. It appears in summer and autumn. Its body has a large brown cap that can reach 35 cm in diameter and weigh 3 kg. Like other boletes, it has tubes that extend down from the underside of the cap. The surface of the body is off-white when young, but depending on age, it can be greenish-yellow. The sturdy stem is white or yellowish in color, up to 10 cm high and 10 cm thick, and is partially covered with a net or reticulation.
